Stillwater Public Library is located at 1107 S. Duck Street in Stillwater, OK. They offer a fantastic children's and teen's programs that include storytimes, summer reading programs, tips for parents and more! And now high speed internet and downloadable music are available!
In the last year, the Stillwater Public Library has been working hard to begin taking its users into the next generation of library services. Mid October marked changes to the library's internet service and additional options to its downloadable materials services that have taken the library several steps further in meeting its goal.
The next step in the OK Connect grant improvements will be seen early next year when the library opens its high speed video conferencing, internet and computer lab. In addition to improved internet services, the library also upgraded its downloadable materials for e-readers.

CHILDREN:
Childrens's Storytime: Children's storytime programs are offered for children ages nine months to five years of age. Storytime activities include some of the following: age-appropriate stories, songs, finger plays and action rhymes, poetry, filmstrips, and alternative stories such as flannelboard or draw-and-tell stories. Supervising adults are requested to accompany their children and remove them from the storytime area if they become disinterested or disruptive. Crafts are usually included for two-to-five year-old public storytimes. Storytime programs are free - only LAPSIT requires registration.
Lapsit Storytimes: This is a special eight-week program offered for children nine months to twenty-two months of age accompanied by one adult. Lapsit Storytime is offered in the Spring and in the Fall. Requires registration.
Public Storytimes: Public storytimes are presented for parents and caregivers/babysitters accompanying their own children.
- Two-year-old storytime: Monday or Friday at 10:00 a.m.
- 3-to-5-year-old storytime: Monday at 11:00 a.m. or 7:00 p.m. or Friday at 11:00 a.m.
Preschool Storytimes: Preschool storytimes are offered for day care institutions, public and private preschools and for individuals who provide in-home child care. Supervising adults are responsible for the behavior and safety of the children in their group. Times may be arranged by calling the children's services office: 405.372.3633 Ext. 116
Groups may attend a scheduled storytime once a month from September through May.
TEENS:
Anime Club: Any teen interested in anime, manga, and graphic novels is invited to join the Anime Club. Anime Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 4:00-5:30 pm. View anime movies, share your drawings, and discuss your favorite anime and graphic novels.
Creative Writing Club: Do you love writing poetry or stories? Meet with other young writers on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month at 4:00 pm. share your writing and participate in creative writing projects.
