Designed by Oklahoma State Golf Coach Labron Harris in 1945, Lakeside Golf Course is Stillwater's premier public golf destination. Located at 5201 N. Washington, Lakeside Golf Course has served the City of Stillwater and the surrounding Payne County area since 1945. Lakeside is rich in both collegiate and professional golf history.
Lakeside Golf Course has earned an official "PGA Family Course" designation. Only six other courses in the State of Oklahoma have received this honor and Lakeside is one of two public courses getting to use this prestigious designation. They offer season passes, golf lessons, a Junior Golf Academy and more.
Single Lesson: Adult, $60 Junior/Senior, $40
3 Lesson Package: Adult, $160 Junior/Senior, $100
5 Lesson Package: Adult, $250 Junior/Senior, $150
Each lesson is approximately 45 minutes in length. The three lesson package consists of two lessons on the driving range and a final lesson concentrating on the short game (putting, chipping, pitching, and sand play). The five lesson package has three range lessons, a short game lesson, and a final playing lesson on the course.The Lakeside Junior Golf Academy is accepting students and classes began April 4th. Lessons will cover swing development, short game, course management, and creating a positive competitive attitude. The monthly membership includes:
- Lessons by PGA trained instructors
- Up to 8 lessons per month (a savings of 75%)
- Members embroidered golf hat and t-shirt
May through October: 7 a.m. to Sunset
November through April: 8 a.m. to Sunset
Open year around, except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Tee times may be scheduled up to five days in advanceTournaments may be booked up to one year in advance.
